ABRA Youth World Show Judging Contest

The ABRA Youth World Show Judging Contest is now open for ABRA youth who want to sharpen their judging skills and gain valuable hands-on experience during the ABRA World Championship Show. This contest offers youth the opportunity to compete individually or as part of a team while learning more about horse evaluation and industry standards.


The judging contest is an important educational opportunity that supports youth development, leadership, and confidence within the ABRA community.


Youth Judging Contest is Friday, July 24, 2026 at 8:00am


What Is the ABRA Youth World Show Judging Contest?

The ABRA Youth World Show Judging Contest is held in conjunction with the ABRA World Championship Show and is open to youth 18 years and under. Participants evaluate horses and demonstrate their knowledge of judging criteria in a competitive, educational setting.

Youth may participate as:

  • Individual contestants

  • Team contestants


This program helps youth develop critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills that extend beyond the show pen.


Who Can Participate in the ABRA Youth World Show Judging Contest?

The ABRA Youth World Show Judging Contest is open to eligible ABRA youth members who are interested in expanding their understanding of horse judging.

Program details include:

  • ✔️ Open to ABRA Youth 18 & under

  • ✔️ Team or Individual divisions available

  • ✔️ Held during the ABRA World Championship Show

  • ✔️ 2026 contest date: TBD


Entry Fees and Divisions

Participants may enter the ABRA Youth World Show Judging Contest as either a team or an individual.

  • Entry Fee: $100 per team

  • Individual Entry Fee: $25 per contestant


Additional contest details, including schedules and logistics, will be provided closer to the event date.
