ABRA Members Are Invited to Attend
The 2026 American Buckskin Registry Association Annual Meeting brings together ABRA leadership, committees and members to discuss association business, proposed rule changes and other topics that help shape the future of ABRA.
Open sessions will be held Sept. 18-19, giving ABRA members the opportunity to hear committee reports, learn more about proposed rule changes, and stay informed about decisions affecting the association.
2026 ABRA Annual Meeting Schedule
Thursday, Sept. 17
7 p.m. | Committee Member Dinner Meeting
Board members will meet with committee members to discuss committee business.
Friday, Sept. 18
8 a.m. | Open to All ABRA Members
The morning session will include:
• Approval of past meeting minutes
• Office report
• Treasurer's report
• Annual committee reports
Committee reports include Amateur, Auditing, Awards, Buckskin Bred, By-Laws and Rules, Color, Drug, Finance, Judges, Nominating, Publicity and Promotions, Show and Contest, Recreational Riding Program, World Show, Futurities, Mini World and Youth.
1 p.m. | Open to All ABRA Members
Members are invited to attend the afternoon session covering:
• World Show rule changes
• Suggestion Box comments
• Rule Change Proposals
• Committee recommendations
The By-Laws & Rules Chair will read the Rule Change Proposals and committee recommendations.
Saturday, Sept. 19
8 a.m. | Closed Session — 2026 Board of Directors Only
If committee meetings are still ongoing, the open session will resume. Otherwise, the closed Board of Directors session will begin at 8 a.m.
Board business includes voting on rule changes, old business, the incoming Board of Directors, election of officers, committee chair assignments, and formation of the Executive Committee.
12:30-1 p.m. | General Member Meeting — Open to All ABRA Members
Members are invited to attend the General Member Meeting for information on rule change proposal decisions and votes.
2 p.m. | Closed Board Session, if needed
Sunday, Sept. 20
8 a.m. | Closed Session — 2027 Board of Directors Only
