ABRA Approved Horse Shows: New Mexico State Fair

If you're planning the rest of your 2026 show season, here's another opportunity to earn valuable ABRA Honor Roll points.


The American Buckskin Registry Association (ABRA) is excited to announce that the New Mexico State Fair has officially been added to the list of ABRA Approved Horse Shows for 2026.


The event will take place September 18–20, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is hosted by the New Mexico Buckskin Horse Association.


ABRA Approved Horse Shows Continue to Grow in 2026

Adding another event to the ABRA Approved Horse Shows schedule gives exhibitors even more opportunities to compete, earn Honor Roll points, and enjoy quality competition with fellow Buckskin enthusiasts.


Whether your goal is year-end awards, gaining experience in the show pen, or simply spending more time showing your horse, there's still plenty of time to finish the season strong.


Remaining 2026 ABRA Approved Horse Shows

  • August 15–16August OBHA Horse Show – Claremore, Oklahoma

  • August 22–23The Last Ride – Corunna, Michigan

  • August 27–30Western States American Breed Congress – Moses Lake, Washington

  • September 4–6Midwest Cash Incentive Challenge – Lincoln, Nebraska

  • September 18–20New Mexico State Fair – Albuquerque, New Mexico (Newly Approved)

  • September 25–27Classics 2026 Fall Show – Albany, Oregon

  • September 25–27Don Thornton Auto Group Fall Color Classic – Pawhuska, Oklahoma

  • October 2–4Heartland Buckskin October Show – Mason City, Iowa

  • October 3–4October Horse Show – Claremore, Oklahoma

  • November 20–22Margarita Classic – Waco, Texas


Every approved show is another opportunity to earn ABRA Honor Roll points while supporting the clubs and organizations that help strengthen the Buckskin community across the country.


As additional events are approved, the schedule will continue to be updated. Be sure to check the ABRA website regularly for the latest information and start making plans for the remainder of the 2026 show season.
